Combat the Spread of Germs

Take your shoes off and leave them at the front door...Initial reports show this virus can live outside the body up to 17 days. Do not track these pathogens through your home for your children or pets to run through before jumping up on your bed or touching your face.
Take your clothes off and put them into the washer immediately after getting home from being out in public and around people.
Bathe after being around people and in public.
Wash your face after being around people and in public.
Wash your hands frequently and for no less than 20 seconds.

Gut Health and Immunity

Did you know that at least 60% of your immune system is located in your Gut Activated Lymphatic System (GALTS)? It is the primary point of nutrient filtration and absorption. That means that now, more than ever, you should consider eating less processed and sugary foods, and more whole foods to promote a healthier immune system, decrease internal inflammation and give yourself a leg-up if you should have fight off this virus. Between this virus and all the stress and uncertainty, your immune system needs all the love and support it can get!

Reduce Viral Spread...Stop Talking

When do you expel respiratory germs?
Every time you...

Exhale

Talk

Laugh

Sigh

Cough

Sneeze

Basically every time you open your mouth, you release respiratory droplets. When something is airborne, like Covid-19, the tiny respiratory droplets you release can hang around in the air for hours, floating into other peoples' mouths and noses, and landing on their clothes, hair and skin which increases viral spread. Be aware and show you care!

Reduce your Germ Foot-Print

Let's face it, you've got some pretty sweet duds...so why should you ditch your kicks at the front door? Scientists will give you 421,000 different reasons: Bacteria, Viruses, Parasites, Blood, Feces, Sputum and Urine...to name a few.
Studies have shown that we absorb nearly 31 lbs of toxins through our skin annually; and your feet are no exception. Not to mention baby or Mr. Fluffikins walking or crawling through the germ trail you tracked in and then putting a finger in your mouth or proudly pouncing on your pillow.

So leave your shoes in one place by your front door and encourage others to do the same!
