Fighting Infertility Naturally

As previously stated, your first step in addressing infertility is to get a correct diagnosis for your particular situation. Once you understand what obstacle(s) you face, you can then weigh out your options. There are many conventional treatment options, and there are also natural options that can increase your chances of conception. It is completely up you what treatment options you pursue.

For the sake of simplicity, we will only be discussing natural treatment options here. I would encourage you to do your research, and reach out for further information if you have any questions on the information presented here. Lastly, be aware that neither conventional nor natural options will guarantee pregnancy; so I would encourage you to include regular prayer, and examine your willingness to accept whatever God's answer is to you in these circumstances...even if the answer is no.

If the Answer is "No"

I suppose many women struggling with infertility try to avoid this question...it is not something we want to even consider, but unfortunately it is a very real possible outcome; and I am someone who prefers to rip off the bandaid, rather than torture myself. When my husband and I really started trying to conceive, after a decade of no children, he asked me, "If God does not give us children, will you hate Him?"

Praise God I can honestly say no; because I do believe that if we do not become pregnant, there is a reason for it; that is not to say I won't be heartbroken and perhaps even depressed for while. I have not always felt that way. I can recall many instances of envy and even frustration at how easily other women around me have become pregnant, and often several at a time (as if I was not drinking the same water they were!); and the anger I have felt at those who have had children and have neglected, abused or murdered them.

The fact is, when you want to have children and are unable it is unfair; and it is okay to acknowledge that. We live in a broken, unfair and unjust world; sometimes it seems almost like the luck of the draw. But God has a plan. He knows your heart, and He also knows what is best. Of course He wants you to be happy, and the awesome thing is that He often answers prayers in the most amazing and bizarre ways. "Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers" ~ Garth Brooks.

Regardless of how God will answer my or your prayers, I encourage you to start off today, by searching your heart for the answer to the question: If God does not give you children, will you still love Him? Be honest with yourself, and be honest with God; He already knows your thoughts anyway. Perhaps He will use this to accomplish a greater purpose.
