My Thankful for list

Each day my list gets longer; from the smallest things, to the biggest...I am SO blessed. My thankfulness goes beyond one day a year, but I like to share from year to year. It can be hard to see all that we have when we are in the midst of struggle; remembering our blessings helps us adopt a healthier mentality and can be both encouraging and uplifting - especially when we remember that there are many more out there with significantly less. My list is long, and I hope yours is too!

I am thankful for:

For Jesus taking my place on the cross

Salvation - knowing where I and my family members will go when we die

For the Bible - and all of the amazing things we can learn from it

For the beautiful hymns and songs people have written through the ages

Every day of freedom - especially as it seems to be dwindling

Every day of life

Every day I get with family

Every hour of sleep I get

My birthmother - for making the courageous decision to give me up for adoption so I had the chance to experience life.

My parents - for adopting me and for putting up with me during my teenage years (oy!)

My husband and best friend - I love him so much, and I love seeing the Godly man he is becoming every day

My friends - I love each one and the different things they add to my life

My pillow

My mattress

My blankets

My snuggly kitties

Fuzzy pajamas

Yummy food

Fairly reliable vehicles

Four walls and roof

Heat and warm clothes in the winter

A/C in the summer

All of the good memories I have from my life

The beautiful places in nature, both near and far

I hope and pray that you have a day filled with joy, family, friends and good food. For those of you who are missing family this year, I pray that your hearts will be comforted and that God would provide family for you.
